Supported by Natural Resources Canada (NRCan), EMC and one of our member organizations, the National Centre for Advanced Transportation (CNTA), have collaborated on preparing the attached guideline report, with the goal of supporting the evolution of electric mobility in Canada. Demonstrating Electric Vehicles in Canada is one component of Electric Vehicle Technology Roadmap for Canada (evTRM).
Electric Mobility Canada responded to a proposal by Transport Canada to amend its Low Speed Vehicle Regulations.
In May 2007, Electric Mobility Canada proposed an Early Adopter Program to the Province of Ontario. This program was to provide financial support to fleets acquiring electric drive technologies.
En 2008 August 2006, Electric Mobility Canada proposed a $200 million program to the Federal Government to provide financial support to fleets in acquiring electric drive technologies. Electric Mobility Canada is still hopeful that the Government of Canada will adopt this program.
